Terms and Conditions

1. Registration and Payment  

  • All participants must complete the course booking form prior to attending any class.  

  • Payment must be made in full before the commencement of the classes.  

 

2. Health and Safety Requirements  

  • All dogs must be vaccinated and in good health. Proof of vaccination is required upon registration.  

  • Dogs showing signs of illness or contagious conditions may be asked not to attend sessions. In this instance, the handler is still welcome to attend and benefit from the session(s). 

  • Any history of aggression, reactivity, or behavioural concerns must be disclosed before your first session.  

  • Dogs displaying aggressive behaviour may be asked to leave the class for safety reasons.  

  • All dogs must arrive on a secure leash and harness, under the owner’s control.  

  • Handlers are responsible for supervising their dogs and ensuring they are kept on the leash inside and outside the designated training area.  

 

3. Class Attendance  

  • Participants are expected to arrive on time to ensure the smooth running of the class.  

  • If a participant misses a class, no refunds will be provided unless specified otherwise.  

 

4. Training Methods  

  • The training classes utilise positive reinforcement techniques. Physical punishment or harsh methods are strictly prohibited.  Any aversive treatment seen, the client will be asked to leave the premises.  

    

5. Training Expectations and Results  

  • Dog training requires consistency and practice outside of sessions.  

  • While we are committed to high-quality support, results may vary depending on the dog’s history, breed, environment, and your follow-through.  

 

6. Liability  

  • The training facility is not liable for injuries or accidents that occur during the classes, except in cases of proven negligence.  

  • Handlers are responsible for their dog's behaviour and any damages caused by their dog during the class and on and off the premises.  

  • DogCogs, its trainers, or associates are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss caused by your dog during or after training.  

  • You agree to indemnify and hold DogCogs harmless for any claims resulting from your participation.  

  

7. Cancellation Policy  

  • In the event of class cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, trainer illness), participants will be notified promptly, and the session will be scheduled.  

  • Participants may cancel their enrolment prior to the start of the course. Refunds will only be provided if the cancellation is made at least two weeks before the first re-scheduled class.  

 

8. Code of Conduct  

  • Respectful behaviour is expected from all participants towards the trainer, other attendees, and their dogs.  

  • Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the class without any refund.

9. Photography and Media  

  • Photos or videos may be taken during the class for promotional purposes. Participants who do not consent to a verbal agreement to this must inform the trainer in advance.  

  

 10. Termination of Services  

•    We reserve the right to refuse or terminate training services at any time if a dog is considered a safety risk, or if the client is non-compliant or abusive.  

•    In such cases, unused sessions will not be refunded. 

 

11. Agreement  

  • By enrolling in the dog training classes, participants agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
